Westfield Galleria Mall

Near the junction of Interstate 80 and State Route 65, City of Roseville, California
Description:
Roseville’s first shopping mall and the first major regional mall in over 20 years with over 180 retail stores and restaurants, anchored by four major department stores: Nordstrom, Macy’s, Sears, and JC Penny.

Services Provided:
Entitlement processing and coordination, Traffic and Parking Plan coordination, Final Design and Mapping, including Parcel Map, grading and utility infrastructure design.
Unique Challenges:
Potential access to the site was limited and the topography was relatively steep. MacKay & Somps developed a site circulation plan to accommodate customer access needs for the mall. Grading constraints, multi-level buildings and the parking configuration complicated design of sewer and drainage service for the site and the on-site balancing of more than 500,000 cubic yards of earthwork.
