The Pleasanton office was established in 1962 and today serves as the company headquarters, directing land development projects in Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa, San Benito, Santa Clara and Solano Counties.

Mark McClellan has been with MacKay & Somps for over 10 years. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1994 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After working in Michigan and Indiana for a civil engineering firm, he joined MacKay & Somps as a design engineer and quickly moved into project management. Mark has extensive experience in the land development entitlement process, subdivision design and mapping, and has entitled and managed single-family subdivisions, multi-family in-fill projects and mixed use developments as well as large scale master planned communities. Mark was appointed to Operations Manager of the Pleasanton office in April 2007.
